Sunday, 19 June – 1940’s Day – Friends of Valley Gardens, Harrogate
At the Valley Gardens 1940s event we weren’t the only ones in fancy clothes.  The folks of Harrogate turned out in style with a fantastic display of elegant dresses, suits, seamed stockings, furs, hats and smart uniforms.  There were picnics on the lawn with vintage hampers, displays of wartime vehicles, big band music and of course, some Morris dancing.

24 /26 June 2016 – Yorkshire Coast Morris Weekend of Dance, Scarborough

This is probably our favourite event of the year. Sunshine and sand and NO rain! A great weekend of dancing (Morris and ceilidh ), socialising, eating and drinking, finishing with a dance in the sea!

Saturday, 7 May – Hornbeam Molly Weekend of Dance, Knaresborough

Held as part of its Spring Fayre, we joined Hornbeam and 14 teams or so to enjoy a day of dancing around the lovely town of Knaresborough.

Gathering for coffee, tea and cakes at the Centre on Gracious Street at the beginning (and end) of the day, it was good to meet up with old friends.  The town was busy, with good audiences in the Market Square and castle grounds.  A most enjoyable day, thanks to the setting, the weather and our hosts.

Tuesday, 24 May – Hazelbeck School, Beckfoot, Bingley

Following our visit in January, we were delighted to return to Hazelbeck School.  On this occasion, the weather was good enough for us to be able to dance outside for a very enthusiastic audience.  A good time was had by all and we look forward to a return visit before too long.

Saturday, 28 May – Celebrate Africa Festival, Living Hope Church, Leeds

We were delighted to be invited to take part in this cultural event.  We were made very welcome and enjoyed dancing for the appreciative audience.
