RAINBOW MORRIS AND FRIENDS AT SALTAIRE FESTIVAL

Rainbow are once again hosting their Day of Dance at Saltaire Festival.  We are delighted that 5 teams are joining us this year.

 

400 Roses

Dancing in the UK folk/tribal belly dancing style, the group are far flung, from Darlington to Stockport, Skipton to Leeds.

Buttercross Belles

Our friends from Otley are a women’s team who dance in the North West Morris tradition.

A clog dancing team from Knaresborough we are looking forward to dancing with them once again at the Festival.

 

Fiddle ‘n’ Feet

An Appalachian dancing group, our friends from Shipley (two members of whom are also “Rainbows”) are once again joining us.

Roll Back The Carpet

Based in Saltaire and dancing a Green Grass style of Appalachian, Roll Back the Carpet hosted a Day of Dance at last year’s festival.

We will be dancing around the village from 11am to 4-ish.

Dance spots include:

  • The Hop (former Tramshed) (from 12 noon)
  • Salts Mill yard (up to 1pm)
  • The Salt Building, Shipley College
  • Saltaire United Reform Church drive
