Torchlight Process, Haworth – Saturday, 10 December

Kay’s Blog

We were delighted to once again be part of the Christmas festivities in Haworth.  We were also delighted to have such good weather!  Over the years we’ve been snowed on, rained on and had to negotiate icy conditions – what a lovely treat to dance in dry, mild conditions.

We performed at the bottom and the top of Main Street, pausing in the middle of our climb to enjoy a much loved annual Rainbow tradition – mulled wine and mince pies – before heading the procession, which wound its way down to the Christmas Tree to join in the singing of well loved carols.  A lovely start to Christmas.

Switch On Saltaire Christmas Lights

judith-blogOn Sunday 27 November we entertained a long queue of people outside Victoria Hall Saltaire who were there to attend a Christmas Fair and to celebrate switching on the Christmas tree lights.

Once inside the Hall there was a happy, busy atmosphere with stalls from local groups and businesses handing out information and selling their Christmas goodies to the sound of live Christmas Carols from Reuben and Ruth.  Free mulled cider and mince pies were available and were much appreciated after the cold evening outside. Unfortunately we missed the playing of the merry Wurlitzer organ, however Jill managed to steal the show anyway.
